ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, multiple Cosmos ecosystem projects are leading the development of a new cross-chain security model called "mesh security" based on the decentralized exchange Osmosis. This model aims to combine staked assets from two or more blockchains to enhance the security of the Cosmos ecosystem.

The development of this model is funded by Osmosis and is being developed in collaboration with Axelar, Akash Network, and ATOM Accelerator DAO. The mesh security plan is expected to be completed in three phases, with each phase estimated to last about three months.

Sunny Aggarwal, co-founder of Osmosis Labs, stated, "With the introduction of mesh security, we can approach security bidirectionally, meaning that two chains, such as Osmosis and Juno, can provide security to each other." (source link)
