ChainCatcher news, the Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution Optimism announced that its mainnet Bedrock upgrade will take place on June 7, with the OP mainnet expected to be down for 2 to 4 hours during the upgrade. Additionally, on the day of the upgrade, transactions, deposits, and withdrawals will not be possible during the downtime, and the OP mainnet will cease operations. Node operators will need to deploy a brand new node for the Bedrock launch.
