Data: The number of unconfirmed transactions on the Bitcoin network has reached 500,000, and the Gas fee exceeds 500 satoshis/byte
ChainCatcher news, according to mempool space data, the Bitcoin network's memory usage has reached 1 GB, with the number of unconfirmed transactions at 504,182, and Gas fees exceeding 500 satoshis/byte (approximately $20).
It is reported that the memory pool is an effective way to track all pending transactions. Each node has its own queue, where pending transactions wait in line for validation, with a default value usually less than 300 MB. Once the total data volume reaches maximum capacity, nodes will start charging a minimum capacity fee, and transactions with lower or no fees will lose priority, while transactions with higher fees will be processed first.
