The stablecoin DEI launched by DEUS has been hacked, with losses exceeding 6.3 million dollars
ChainCatcher news, the stablecoin DEI launched by the DeFi protocol DEUS has been hacked. DEUS tweeted: "For all white hat hackers who were able to save funds during today's DEI exploit, we confirm that 0x7f5ae1dc8d2b5d599409c57978d21cf596d37996 is the multi-signature address owned by the DEUS team on Arbitrum. If you (white hat hacker) have not returned the funds yet, please contact us. With the help of white hats and partner projects, the DEUS team has paused the relevant contracts and burned DEI to prevent further damage. We will follow up with a post-mortem analysis and develop a recovery plan in the coming days. In the meantime, please do not interact with any DEI contracts."
Security firm PeckShield commented: "This appears to be a public burn exploit, with losses of $1.3 million just on the BSC chain. The ARB/ETH deployment will also be affected. The Arbitrum deployment was hacked, resulting in losses exceeding $5 million."
DEI, the stablecoin launched by DEUS, quickly depegged to $0.18 around 3:30 AM today and has now rebounded to $0.29. (source link)
