ChainCatcher news, according to Variety, the venture capital firm Sound Ventures has completed fundraising for its AI fund (Sound Ventures AI Fund), raising nearly $240 million, seeking to invest in AI businesses at the foundational model level. Currently, the fund's portfolio includes OpenAI, Anthropic, and StabilityAI.

Sound Ventures was founded in 2015 and manages over $1 billion in assets, with a portfolio that includes Airbnb, Uber, Flexport, Brex, GitLab, Airtable, Affirm, Forethought, and You.com. The general partners of Sound Ventures include Hollywood actor and venture capitalist Ashton Kutcher and veteran music manager Guy Oseary. Sound Ventures is also relatively active in the crypto space, with a portfolio that includes the proof-of-attendance badge protocol POAP, crypto startup Multis, ConsenSys, and the NFT portfolio management and social platform Metalink, among others.
