ChainCatcher news, Layer1 blockchain Zilliqa announced that as part of the update V9.0.0, it will soon implement EVM compatibility on the mainnet, opening the network to EVM DApps. This network upgrade will begin deployment on April 25 at 16:00, during which the Zilliqa network will experience a 24-hour downtime, during which the network will not process any transactions. It is recommended to suspend mainnet deposit and withdrawal activities during the network upgrade.

It is reported that this network will increase support for DApps written in Solidity and other EVM-compatible languages, while also allowing users to transfer ZIL using EVM wallets such as MetaMask. Additionally, developers can try using user-friendly development tools like Hardhat and Truffle to deploy EVM smart contracts on the Zilliqa mainnet. (Source link)
