Trezor wallet partners with Wasabi Wallet to support CoinJoin Bitcoin privacy feature
ChainCatcher news, cryptocurrency hardware wallet company Trezor has expanded the privacy of Bitcoin transactions through a partnership with privacy-focused Wasabi Wallet. Trezor has launched a privacy-supporting CoinJoin feature on its hardware wallets, allowing users to enhance the privacy and security of their Bitcoin transactions.
In an announcement on April 19, Trezor noted that this new feature will be enabled immediately on the company's Trezor Model T wallet. The company plans to enable the CoinJoin option for its first hardware wallet, Model One, in the near future.
CoinJoin is a process for anonymous Bitcoin transactions that allows users to send their Bitcoins as part of a large collaborative transfer, obscuring the transaction history. This method was introduced by former Bitcoin Core developer Gregory Maxwell in August 2013, providing a more private option for sending Bitcoin transactions.
Trezor's new collaboration with Wasabi makes the CoinJoin option on its wallets possible, allowing users to hide their transactions and balances when purchasing, donating, and using Bitcoin for other transactions. (source link)
