Foreign media: EU lawmakers generally expressed support for the MiCA bill in today's debate
ChainCatcher news, according to Coindesk, bipartisan EU lawmakers stated during a debate on Wednesday that they will continue to support the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), indicating that the final vote scheduled for Thursday may easily pass.
It is reported that the main policy outline of MiCA was roughly introduced last year, and the legislation will allow cryptocurrency trading platforms and wallet companies to provide regulated services to users across the EU, while imposing strict requirements on stablecoin issuers to hold sufficient reserves.
ChainCatcher previously reported, citing informed sources from CoinDesk, that the European Parliament's final vote on the crypto legislation MiCA is expected to be postponed until April 20. A document released on Wednesday showed that only one anticipated amendment has been submitted before the crucial final vote. (source link)
