Data: Klaytn has burned 5.296 billion KLAY, accounting for 50% of the total supply
ChainCatcher news, the South Korean public chain project Klaytn tweeted that the Cypress KIP-103 hard fork has been executed at block 119750400, with both the destruction and fund rebalancing completed, having destroyed 5,296,324,269 KLAY, accounting for 50% of the total supply.
According to news on April 13, these destroyed tokens came from the Klaytn treasury (totaling 7.281 billion), which were minted during the mainnet launch in 2019. The remaining 2 billion tokens in reserve will be kept to fund the future ecosystem. However, if their use cannot be guaranteed, these tokens will also be burned within three years. (source link)
