Xiao Feng, the founder of Wanwu Island: In the era of explosive application growth, Chinese people have great potential
Author: Wanwu Island, Wanwu Island ThreeDAO
The Wanwu Creation Camp officially opened in Hong Kong on April 14! Wanwu Island founder Xiao Feng and dozens of coaches appeared together to deliver speeches. Xiao Feng shared the story of how he initiated Wanwu Island and the trends in Chinese Web3 entrepreneurship to come…
The Wanwu Creation Camp originated from a casual remark I made: with such great resources, why not establish a creation camp based on Wanwu Island to help entrepreneurs accelerate their ventures!
Over the past decade, the construction of infrastructure has nearly come to an end, and the next era is one of explosive application growth, where Chinese innovation in applications has tremendous potential.
In the Web2 internet era, we created miracles in the world, and in the Web3 era, we can spread the energy accumulated in the past 20 years domestically to the globe. The best way to do this is through blockchain, as it is inherently global and not limited by any specific region. Therefore, we have reached a stage where we need to release our energy globally!
In the past decade, three main aspects of infrastructure have been completed:
- Public chains like Bitcoin and Ethereum have laid the foundation for a decentralized network.
- Blockchain as a distributed ledger has established a decentralized ledger over the past 10 years.
- DeFi decentralized finance has also prepared for Web3 applications.
Now we have arrived at the doorstep: Web3 applications.
I look forward to the 65 projects entering the camp today crossing the threshold of the century and showcasing the energy of Chinese developers and creators to the world!
Finally, I want to say to all entrepreneurs: since you are here, let's get to work!
Dozens of coaches also shared their thoughts with the creation camp and entrepreneurs:
Hong Kong Cyberport CEO Ren Jingxin: Cyberport, as a wholly-owned institution of the Hong Kong government, should vigorously develop the Web3 industry and ecosystem, taking on the role of navigator.
Wanwu Island co-founder Cao Meiying Mu: Entrepreneurship is very difficult. I am willing to invest my career and the next 20 years into it to improve everyone's success rate in entrepreneurship! Growth first, success second!
Yuanwang Capital founding partner Tian Hongfei: The 65 companies interviewed by Wanwu Island are all excellent and eager to learn more from interactions with entrepreneurs!
ChainCapital founding partner Li Xiangmin: Growing together with Chinese entrepreneurs, contributing to them globally, companionship is a longer-lasting confession, accompanying entrepreneurs together!
BitRise founding partner Shao Jianliang: Entrepreneurship is very hard, and if someone helps, entrepreneurs will feel happiness. I hope our coaches can discover every shining star in Web3 and help everyone grow.
SAIF Partners managing partner Jin Fengchun: Supporting and helping Web2 entrepreneurs transition to Web3 is also my main intention for joining the Wanwu Creation Camp.
Tianyuan Law Firm partner Wang Wei: Sharing our experiences with everyone to help them walk more steadily.
Chuangda Capital chairman Xu Hongbo: As Wanwu Island, our greater vision is to debug the world, discover the flaws in this world, and work together to make it a little better.
Smartdeer chairman Liu Lin: Supporting Web3 entrepreneurs to start businesses globally, sharing my past experiences in Web2!
Happy Farm founder Gao Shaofei: I was once proud to have created a product like Happy Farm that grew from 0 to over 100 million users. Let's work together to create more from 0 to 1 for Chinese people!
CypherCapital chairman Qian Yu: Providing students with connections to more Web2 and Web3 channels, as well as connections between Hong Kong, the Middle East, and the world.
Finally, congratulations to all 65 projects entering the camp this time. Looking forward to the next 100 days of companionship! Let's CoBuild together!
