ChainCatcher message, a16z Crypto's latest crypto report statistics show that since switching to PoS, Ethereum uses 0.001% of the energy that YouTube consumes annually.

According to previous reports, a16z Crypto released its new "State of Crypto" index. This index depicts a more optimistic emerging market landscape than most price charts. The index considers several so-called adoption and innovation parameters, including the number of active developers, mentions of cryptocurrencies in academic research, and trading volume on decentralized exchanges, excluding negative data points such as bankruptcies, hacks, or regulatory enforcement actions.
