zCloak Network's new product Valid ID is now in public beta
Author: zCloak Network
The new product Valid ID from zCloak Network officially launched its public beta today. Since the launch of the zkID series products based on zero-knowledge proof technology in October 2022, this marks a new product line introduced by zCloak.
With the rapid development of the Web3 industry, the issue of on-chain trust transfer has become prominent, and the industry urgently needs to answer the question of "who is who" in the Web3 world. Traditional identity solutions in the internet industry, such as certificate issuance systems based on CA and PKI, as well as personal key systems based on PGP and Web of Trust, have inherent problems and are not suitable for use in the Web3 industry. Therefore, the zCloak team proposed a Web3-native institutional identity solution: a decentralized trust network architecture based on Multi-Party Attestation, and launched the Valid ID platform (https://valid3.id) based on this.
Valid ID aims to provide a secure and decentralized way for organizations to prove their identity and qualifications. By using Ethereum-compatible cryptographic infrastructure, users can complete all operations on the platform directly using their Ethereum wallets. By utilizing W3C DID and verifiable digital credentials, any organization can join the Valid ID platform and provide rating and identity verification services for other organizations, effectively realizing a decentralized trust network. Valid ID also offers unique dual protection of cryptographic and legal declarations to verify and anchor the true identity of organizations, fundamentally ensuring the validity and authenticity of institutional identity verification.
In the product ecosystem of zCloak Network, Valid ID is an important part of its complete identity solution: zero-knowledge proof technology ensures the correctness of the identity verification computation process on the user side; verifiable digital credential technology ensures the correctness of user data, and Valid ID addresses the most fundamental trust issue in this process—who exactly is the trusted third party that issues verifiable digital credentials?
The use cases and practical applications of Valid ID far exceed the scope of digital credentials, such as the Valid Sign tool for signing the publication of any information (text, images, documents, etc.), and the Trust Tree for establishing Web3 organizational structures. Additionally, the Valid ID platform will soon launch the Valid Name feature, which is directly tied to the legal names of institutions, as well as the Valid Score feature for quantitatively evaluating social verification results between institutions, striving to become the cornerstone of trust in the Web3 institutional network.
Currently, the Valid ID project has officially launched its public beta. zCloak Network sincerely invites various institutions and project parties to participate in the construction of the Valid ID network together. Early-bird institutions can receive exclusive benefits such as Valid Name for free. We especially welcome institutions capable of conducting security audits, institutional ratings, and those with accumulated business and legal data to co-build the Web3 trust network.
