ChainCatcher News: The Ethereum restaking protocol EigenLayer has launched the first phase of its testnet on the Ethereum Goerli network, currently supporting only liquid restaking and native restaking. Liquid staking allows for the re-staking of various liquidity tokens on the EigenLayer contract.

It is reported that the release of EigenLayer will be carried out in three phases: stakers, node operators, and services. EigenLayer states that this testnet is an early non-incentivized testnet, and the code is actively being developed.

Previously, at the end of March, the team behind EigenLayer, EigenLabs, completed a $50 million Series A funding round, led by Blockchain Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Polychain Capital, Hack VC, Electric Capital, IOSG Ventures, and others. (Source link)
