ChainCatcher news, according to Ledger Insights, the Swiss National Bank (SNB) has outlined its payment vision, planning to issue a true wholesale central bank digital currency (CBDC) on the SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), following various wholesale CBDC tests.

It is reported that the SNB's planned wholesale CBDC pilot is the latest iteration of the Helvetia project, with five banks participating, including Citibank, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Hypothekarbank Lenzburg, and UBS. In terms of settlement, Helvetia initially explored integration with Switzerland's main real-time gross settlement (RTGS) system SIC, which is also operated by the SIX Group. The experiment later expanded to include the wholesale CBDC on the SDX test version as a settlement asset for tokenized securities trading. (source link)
