OKB Chain Roadmap: Gradually Evolving from Sidechains to ZK-based Layer 2 Scaling Solutions

ChainCatcher news, OKX announced the development roadmap for OKB Chain (OKBC). OKBC will transition from a sidechain to a Layer 2 network, while the Layer 1 blockchain OKT Chain will also develop in parallel.

OKB Chain will be released in three versions. The V1 version is an Ethereum PoA sidechain, focusing on providing high performance and low transaction fees, compatible with both EVM and WASM ecosystems, and will be launched in the first quarter. The V2 version will upgrade it to an Ethereum native ZK Rollup platform. The V3 version will enable cross-chain communication between ZK Rollups and propose specialized application solutions based on the V2 platform. (source link)
