Matter Labs CEO: zkSync Token may be launched in a year
ChainCatcher news, Matter Labs CEO Gluchowski stated in an interview with The Block that zkSyncEra will not launch a Token immediately, as the network is still largely centralized. Since it is in the alpha stage, MatterLabs can upgrade the network code at will.
Additionally, the company still controls the operation of two core components: the sequencer and the prover. Gluchowski expects zkSync to achieve sequencer decentralization in about a year. (Source link)
