Arbitrum Foundation: Airdrop of ARB Token on March 23

ChainCatcher news, the Arbitrum Foundation announced that it will airdrop governance tokens coded as ARB to its community members on March 23. The airdrop will account for 12.75% of the total token supply, and the tokens will be distributed to those who have used the network in the past year.

The token will govern the Arbitrum One and Nova networks through a DAO, which will be supported by a security council. The airdrop will allocate 11.5% of the total supply to Arbitrum users, with an additional 1.25% allocated to DAOs and the Protocol Guild within the Arbitrum ecosystem, which is a DAO composed of Ethereum developers. The majority of the supply will go to the Arbitrum Foundation, which will be controlled by the newly established Arbitrum DAO.
Offchain Labs also released Arbitrum Orbit, a way for developers to build Layer 3 networks on top of Arbitrum. Offchain Labs further supports the construction of Layer 3 networks on Arbitrum. (Source link)
