The MetaMask mobile version has optimized loading times, browser navigation, and account connections; the MetaMask extension has enhanced privacy settings to limit data leakage and improved the onboarding experience.

MetaMask states that in the optimized user interface, users can switch between the wallet and browser with a single click in MetaMask Mobile. Additionally, there is more control and transparency when selecting to connect or disconnect accounts with DApps. In the extension update, when creating a MetaMask wallet, users are prompted to confirm the first three words of their seed phrase (SRP), and they can choose any RPC provider during onboarding and opt out of the default Infura.
