Nissan has submitted four new trademark applications related to Web3, planning to trial sales in the metaverse
According to ChainCatcher, a trademark application filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on March 7 shows that the automotive manufacturer Nissan has submitted four new trademarks related to Web3. The new applications cover the Infiniti (INFINITI), Nismo, and Nissan brands, encompassing virtual clothing + cars, virtual goods store + NFTs, NFT marketplace + trading + minting, and metaverse advertising services, among others.
In addition, its Japanese subsidiary is experimenting with car sales in the metaverse, and the application also outlines plans for metaverse advertising services and other "entertainment services." (Cointelegraph)
