MakerDAO founder calls for a rebranding of the DAI stablecoin
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, during a conference call with community members on Thursday, MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen stated that MakerDAO should rename the stablecoin DAI to make it easier for "ordinary people" to understand.
He believes that a poor brand image could hinder its decentralization plans. If the stablecoin wants to attract ordinary people, the name must include USD (U.S. Dollar). He called for a "complete rebranding, a new name, a new look, and a completely different user acquisition approach," suggesting that MakerDAO should position DAI as a currency that users can use to generate income.
It is reported that not all participants agreed with this view. (Source link)
