Consensys releases the "ETH Staking Withdrawal Guide," and a commemorative NFT will be launched at that time
ChainCatcher news, Consensys released the "ETH Staking Withdrawal Guide," which mentions that the main achievement of the Shanghai/Capella upgrade is to allow stakers to withdraw their staked ETH. More specifically, it will provide three key features related to withdrawals:
- The ability to update Ethereum validator withdrawal credentials from the old 0x00 type (derived from BLS keys) to the newer 0x01 type (derived from Ethereum addresses);
- Partial withdrawals, or regularly "exiting" consensus layer rewards obtained from the balance of active validators (over 32 ETH);
- Full withdrawals, or reclaiming the entire balance of "exiting" validators.
Currently, 58% of people have 0x00 type withdrawal credentials. Among the remaining 42%, approximately 61% (or 25% of all Ethereum validators) use 0x01 type withdrawal credentials, which are operated by Lido validator sets.
Additionally, to celebrate the upgrade, ConsenSys will launch its second commemorative NFT series in late March/early April when the upgrade goes live, inviting Web3 enthusiasts to participate by claiming NFTs. (source link)
