Coinbase protocol head: May no longer be transaction-centric, launching Base to invest in "platforms"
ChainCatcher news, at the ETH Denver conference, Coinbase protocol head Jesse Pollak stated that for the past decade, Coinbase has been transaction-focused, and product innovation may not have been a priority. However, the company now aims to change that, and the launch of Base is essentially an investment in "creating a platform" to enable developers to build useful products better.
In addition, Jesse Pollak revealed that Coinbase has not given up on NFTs, and has been rapidly iterating its NFT platform over the past year, with more growth expected in the future. (Source link)
