Tornado Cash contributors launch a forked product Privacy Pools and hope to evade sanctions
ChainCatcher news, Ameen Soleimani, an early contributor to Tornado Cash, announced the launch of a forked version of Tornado Cash called Privacy Pools. Soleimani stated that Privacy Pools will continue to help Tornado Cash achieve its unfinished work and hopes it will not be sanctioned by regulators and law enforcement.
Soleimani is widely regarded as an early contributor to Tornado Cash. He stated that he did not contribute to the project code, but he told Decrypt that, in addition to providing initial funding for Tornado Cash through the developers' MolochDAO, he also helped guide the project's direction in its early days.
