ChainCatcher News, Yuzo Kano, co-founder and former CEO of the Japanese cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer, plans to return as CEO and lead the company in its initial public offering to resolve management conflicts. Yuzo Kano stated that he would propose this at the shareholders' meeting in March.

According to data from JPBitcoin.com, bitFlyer holds a 59.4% market share of the BTC/JPY trading pair in January. The exchange sought to sell itself to Singapore-based fund ACA Partners last year, and Kano indicated this was a strategy to dilute his stake in the exchange. Kano resigned as CEO in 2019 but still holds a 40% stake, making him the largest shareholder. (Source link)
