Moonbirds' parent company may cancel the event originally scheduled for May due to a lack of sponsorship and insufficient participation
ChainCatcher news, the parent company of Moonbirds, Proof, has canceled the event originally scheduled for May. In a statement, the company said: "After weeks of sales data, conversations with potential sponsors, and discussions with community members, it is clear that the current interest in such events is far below expectations." Ticket buyers will receive refunds, and traders can keep the receipts for the canceled event's NFTs. Proof has promised that hotels booked with their discount will provide full refunds to users, and tickets that incur cancellation fees can be submitted to Proof for a refund.
Additionally, Proof founder Kevin Rose revealed that a comprehensive update regarding Proof and the NFT series Moonbirds is planned to be released on March 2. However, some members of the Moonbirds community lack confidence in the team's plans and commitments. In response to this news, some NFT traders have indicated they will sell their held Moonbird NFTs. (Decrypt)
