ChainCatcher news, OpenSecrets data shows that cryptocurrency companies spent a record $21.55 million on lobbying in Washington in 2022, with Coinbase leading the pack at $3.4 million. The total lobbying expenditure by crypto companies in 2022 was more than double that of 2021 ($8.29 million), with Coinbase spending about $3.4 million, followed by Blockchain Association, Crypto.com, Binance, and Ripple, which spent approximately $1.9 million, $1.2 million, $1.1 million, and $1 million respectively. Additionally, campaign contributions, election funding, or political donations are not included in lobbying expenditures. (source link)
