The first stop of the Aptos World Tour hackathon, Aptos Seoul Hack, was held earlier this month, aiming to encourage developers to innovate in gaming, social/NFT, DeFi, tools, and the Move language. The hackathon received over 400 applications, with more than 50 projects officially submitted and over 180 developers participating.
On February 15, Aptos announced 15 winning projects. Here’s a quick overview of the winning projects.
Gaming
AptoPlay (First Prize)
++AptoPlay++ provides an easy integration and seamless user experience for game developers building on the Aptos network, specifically by offering tools that prioritize player experience and usability, as well as integration with game engines and allowing social logins. AptoPlay also plans to develop a fully on-chain game backend solution on Aptos.
Yours (Second Prize)
++Yours++ is a game-centric wallet that allows for the issuance, trading, and enhancement of in-game assets while measuring player activity through data captured offline, online, and on the Aptos network.
CannedBi (Third Prize)
++CannedBi++ is a digital pet game built around a metaverse platform on the Aptos network, incorporating GameFi concepts such as on-chain task completion, NFT badge issuance, and token staking. Users can also nurture their own NFT character, Cannedbi, and interact with it.
Game Station (Honorable Mention)
++Game Station++ provides developer tools for seamlessly loading Web2 games onto the Aptos network.
Social / NFT
Life Mining (First Prize)
++Life Mining++ involves connecting real life and digital life through the use of videos and NFTs. Creators and fans can participate in challenges and document the process with videos. By completing challenges, they can earn rewards and create shared NFTs to commemorate their achievements. Life Mining states that its solution can be applied in the education sector, entertainment industry, and sports industry.
PerSecond (Second Prize)
++PerSecond++ allows users to generate meeting links and share them with potential experts, then set up time-based payment streams through the Aptos network.
DID You Eat (Third Prize)
++DID You Eat++ allows customers to collect unique SBTs from the restaurants they visit, capturing memories and experiences from each dining adventure while enabling restaurants to build a detailed understanding of their customer base on the Aptos network.
DID You Eat states that its application helps customers collect memories while restaurant owners can gain insights into customer preferences.
Ourchive (Honorable Mention)
++Ourchive++ is a decentralized panoramic image library marketplace that mints images as NFTs for transparent and efficient ownership management, allowing users to trade images without worrying about copyright issues. Ourchive also provides integrated UX solutions, enabling creators and users to experience uploading and downloading images simultaneously.
DeFi
Merkle Trade (First Prize)
++Merkle Trade++ is a decentralized leveraged trading platform that enables users to trade cryptocurrencies and forex on the Aptos network with leverage of up to 1000 times.
++Neutral Alpha++ (Second Prize)
Neutral Alpha aims to provide solutions for AMM pool contributors suffering from impermanent loss, primarily by helping LP contributors hedge risks through a derivative-linked safety model from traditional finance.
++Umi Pool++ (Third Prize)
Umi Pool is an AMM that helps improve profitability and reduce impermanent loss through active liquidity control and rebalancing mechanisms.
Invincible Aptos (Honorable Mention)
++Invincible Aptos++ is a modular DeFi project that combines liquid staking, leverage, and token swaps, allowing users to mint or borrow stablecoins and collateralize their staked tokens. Invincible Aptos plans to launch on the mainnet in the second quarter of this year.
Tools
MoveHub (First Prize)
++MoveHub++ aims to provide developers with tools to search, promote, and build their applications on the Aptos network by offering indexing and module recognition support without coding.
Genie (Second Prize)
++Genie++ provides a unified identity layer for users on Web2 and Web3 platforms, connecting social network profiles for seamless navigation.
++InBond++ (Third Prize)
The InBond protocol works by providing investors with convertible bonds when investing in projects, rather than receiving tokens upfront. These bonds can be used to vote on proposals and can be converted into tokens at any time, or even redeemed for their investment. InBond can also create a convertible market for trading and generating platform revenue.
Dittos (Honorable Mention)
++Dittos++ is a zero-knowledge address abstraction (zkAA) solution designed to eliminate the need for address mapping while allowing direct use of Web2 identities on the Aptos network.
Best Move
Werewolf and Witch (First Prize)
++Werewolf and Witch++ is a fully decentralized NFT war game.
Options Factory (Second Prize)
++Options Factory++ enables institutions and DeFi users to establish long/short positions for European call/put options. Options Factory will further support the creation of structured products by wrapping FT and NFT. Option issuers issue both long option tokens and short option tokens, allowing them to establish a position in one direction by selling one side of the option tokens. Sellers of option tokens collect premiums from buyers.
Coin object (Third Prize)
++Coin object++ plans to develop and run an indexer API for querying object-based tokens. Coin object will also develop "stream APIs" to notify users of changes to object-based tokens on the Aptos blockchain.
Clank (Honorable Mention)
++Clank++ is a conditional multi-factor authentication solution built on the Aptos network. Additional authentication is only required when conditions are met. When users are using a small amount of funds, only one signature is needed; however, if the set withdrawal limit is exceeded, single sign-on authentication is also required.
