Bloomberg: Deutsche Bank is in talks to invest in two German crypto companies
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, DWS Group, the asset management arm of Deutsche Bank, is in talks to invest in two German crypto companies. According to insiders, DWS CEO Stefan Hoops has begun negotiations to acquire a minority stake in ETF provider Deutsche Digital Assets and trading firm Tradias.
As a long-time advocate for cryptocurrencies, Hoops stated during last week's earnings call that the current low prices of crypto assets could create "interesting opportunities" for DWS. In the company's roadmap released last December, Hoops mentioned that one of the company's goals is to support access to its products via blockchain, with a vision to create a euro stablecoin and establish or invest in various blockchain-related services.
