Visa is testing a large payment settlement system for USDC on Ethereum
ChainCatcher news, Cuy Sheffield, head of the crypto division at payment company Visa, stated at StarkWare Sessions 2023 that the company is testing how to accept settlement payments from USDC issuers, starting with Ethereum, aiming to allow customers to convert digital assets into fiat currency on its platform.
It is reported that Visa has been exploring how to incorporate blockchain technology into its existing network for faster fund transfers, but is currently still settling on the global interbank financial telecommunications association or SWIFT system. (Cointelegraph)
