Data: Crypto companies laid off nearly 3,000 employees in January

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, at least 14 crypto companies announced layoffs in January 2023, with nearly 2,900 employees in the crypto sector being dismissed.

It is reported that the largest layoffs this month were initiated by Coinbase, which laid off about 950 employees on January 10. Exchanges Crypto.com, Luno, and Huobi laid off approximately 500, 330, and 320 people, respectively. Crypto bank Silvergate fired 200 employees, Blockchain.com cut 110 employees, and 96 employees were laid off from MetaMask's parent company ConsenSys. (Cointelegraph)
