A man was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for stealing £2 million worth of cryptocurrency
ChainCatcher news, the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) in the UK reported that Wybo Wiersma from the Netherlands admitted to stealing £2 million ($2.5 million) from victims around the world and was sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Oxford Crown Court.
It is reported that Wybo Wiersma generated 81-character random strings through the iotaseed.io website to steal users' IOTA tokens, with a total value of stolen assets amounting to £2,156,000. On January 23, 2019, SEROCU officers arrested Wybo Wiersma. (source link)
