Aave will purchase 2.7 million CRV to offset the excess debt of Aave V2

ChainCatcher message, Aave team member MarcZeller stated in the Aave governance forum that after executing the AIP-144 CRVBadDebtRepayment contract, it allows the acquisition of 2.7 million CRV, liquidating the remaining excess debt on the Aave V2 protocol within approximately 15 hours and several tx.

It is reported that an Ethereum address starting with "0x57E04" shorted CRV in November 2022, resulting in Aave V2 generating 2.64 million CRV bad debt. Two weeks later, Aave community members proposed using Aave's existing USDC and aUSDC assets to repay all CRV debt. (source link)
