On October 25 last year, Sui officially announced the launch of its foundation website and opened the application portal for the developer grant program. Selected applicants will receive a small initial grant to kickstart their projects, with grant amounts ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, and the opportunity to receive additional funding upon reaching specific milestones.
Today, the Sui Foundation's developer grant program announced the first round of 12 funded projects, which will receive grant amounts between $20,000 and $75,000. As part of the first round and pilot grant program, the Sui Foundation focused on areas such as developer tools, DeFi, and security, showcasing innovative open-source solutions beneficial to the Sui ecosystem. Below, Odaily Planet Daily introduces the specific details of these 12 projects.

Developers can simply fill out a form to receive prompts and tutorials to complete the following functions: create tokens for games or companies.
- Generate and mint NFT items and collectibles, create an in-game NFT marketplace. Supports asset file and metadata uploads via zip files.
- Design and deploy token economics, in-game token metrics, staking, lotteries, etc.
- Implement integration with wallets and custodial and fiat-friendly options.
- Create DAOs.
- Supports Solidity and Rust across the vast majority of mainnets.
This project is developed by a team that won the Avalanche Hackathon and has been audited by Certik and Hacken.
Dapp Low Code Dev Platform: Low-Code Platform to Enhance Development Efficiency
A low-code development platform allows developers to efficiently build extremely complex decentralized applications with an experience very close to developing "traditional" applications. The Dapp Low Code Dev Platform aims to provide developers with a simple Web IDE for writing business logic code, "one-click" generating Dapp applications, and deploying applications to a cloud testing environment.
In the initial phase, the platform will prioritize supporting Dapps built on the Move blockchain. However, in later operations, developers will not be restricted to using any programming language to build Dapps. Additionally, using the Dapp Low Code Dev Platform for "low-code" development can increase development efficiency by more than ten times. This makes it easier for "traditional" application developers to enjoy the benefits of blockchain development; highly complex "traditional" enterprise software and Web 2.0 internet applications can also be migrated to the chain at low cost, becoming decentralized Web 3.0 applications.
It is expected that within two to three months after the project launch, the platform will create a command-line tool or toolkit to help developers generate on-chain Move contracts (the on-chain part of Dapps), off-chain services (written in Java or Go), and even generate more items, such as JavaScript Client SDKs and scaffold code for user interface web front-end applications. In the second phase, the team will move the functionality of the command-line tool created in the first phase to the cloud, allowing developers to use it simply by opening a browser. The team expects to provide a simple Web IDE for developers to write model code, one-click generate Dapp applications, and deploy applications to the cloud testing environment.
Go Sui SDK: Web3 Platform Combining Multiple Development Functions
The Sui Golang SDK for ComingChat is a Web3 platform that combines account systems, payment tools, and social features, helping developers build new applications within a fully functional ecosystem. Movey, developed by East Agile, is a registry for Move language packages, allowing Move developers to discover, validate, and collaborate on Move language packages. The current version of Movey integrates with Move CLI, enabling developers to interact with Movey through the official Move CLI.
Movey plans to:
- Validate packages by comparing on-chain and off-chain data.
- Enable the community to improve and enhance the content on Movey.
Remix IDE Plugin: Plugin for Writing Sui Smart Contracts
The Remix IDE Plugin is an extension of the WELLDONE Studio development tool WELLDONE Code, which allows developers in any blockchain ecosystem to write smart contracts without separately building a development environment. Specifically, Remix is a web-based integrated development environment (IDE) for the Solidity programming language, used for writing smart contracts for the Ethereum blockchain. Remix allows developers to write, test, and debug EVM-based smart contracts in a convenient and user-friendly interface. With this plugin, developers can easily develop and test smart contracts for non-EVM networks (such as NEAR and Cosmos) as well as EVM-compatible networks within the Remix IDE.
Currently, the plugin has been extended to support the Sui ecosystem, allowing developers to write Sui smart contracts using Remix IDE, which will help more developers quickly get started with Sui smart contracts without the need to build a separate development environment.
