ChainCatcher news, according to a report by Bloomberg citing data from LCH Investments tracking fund returns, in 2022, the top 20 hedge fund companies generated a total of $22.4 billion in profits (after fees). Among them, Citadel ranked first with a profit of $16 billion in 2022, setting a new annual return record for hedge funds, surpassing the $15 billion profit earned by hedge fund manager John Paulson for his clients during the 2007 U.S. subprime mortgage crisis.
