Cardano launches official sidechain development toolkit, EVM sidechain public testnet is expected to be released this month

ChainCatcher news, according to the IOHK website, Cardano has officially launched an official sidechain development toolkit to help developers build their own sidechains using the Cardano infrastructure. This toolkit can assist sidechains in developing their own consensus algorithms and functionalities, allowing for cross-chain transfers bridged to the root chain, and confirming and exporting block finality through the main chain's consensus mechanism. The toolkit has three core components: the main chain Plutus scripts, on-chain trackers, and sidechain modules, with accompanying technical specification documents also released.

In addition, Cardano revealed that its EVM sidechain public testnet will be launched in January 2023. (source link)
