ChainCatcher news, Layer 1 blockchain project Venom Foundation has partnered with investment management firm Iceberg Capital to launch a $1 billion venture fund that will invest in seed to Series A funding for Web3 protocols and decentralized applications (dApps), focusing on sectors such as payments, asset management, DeFi, banking services, and GameFi.

VVF will also leverage Iceberg Capital's resources to provide incubation programs, assisting projects with marketing, exchange listings, technical, legal, and regulatory support. Former BlackRock executive Peter Knez and experienced investor Mustafa Kheriba will join the fund's leadership team.

In addition to the fund announcement, VVF has also made its first investment, leading a $20 million financing round for the creator-focused metaverse platform Nümi Metaverse. (source link)
