Hong Kong and Singapore, January 9, 2023 --- PlatON will collaborate with its partners Alibaba Cloud and HashKey Group to jointly host the "HAPathon 2023" Web3 Global Entrepreneurship Competition in four major Asian cities—Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, and finally Hong Kong—from March to April this year.**
The competition is expected to attract over 1,000 participants from around the world, most of whom are developers and founders of startups in the Web3 community and ecosystem.
Each competition stop will last for two days and will take place in an offline format, where participants will present their projects and development results to a panel of professional judges. The competition aims to provide a platform for global Web3 developers to showcase their innovation acumen and their ability to translate ideas and business awareness into practical applications. The competition will have three themes: financial infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and Web3 innovative applications. The total prize pool will be no less than $400,000.
"HAPathon" Competition Schedule:
- Singapore Stop: March 18-19, 2023 (Registration Deadline: March 12, 2023)
- Bangkok Stop: March 25-26, 2023 (Registration Deadline: March 19, 2023)
- Tokyo Stop: April 1-2, 2023 (Registration Deadline: March 26, 2023)
- Hong Kong Stop: April 8-9, 2023 (Registration Deadline: April 2, 2023)
This competition is part of a memorandum of understanding signed by the three parties last November. The memorandum aims to explore potential collaboration opportunities on multiple projects, including jointly developing and supporting infrastructure and technology platforms for Web3 developers, facilitating the development of various Web 3.0 applications and protocols in areas such as gaming, social media, and the Metaverse.
Alibaba Cloud is the digital technology and intelligent backbone business of Alibaba Group, ranking third globally and first in the Asia-Pacific region among public cloud IaaS service providers; HashKey Group is an end-to-end digital asset financial services group based in Hong Kong.
