Avalanche launches the subnet communication protocol Warp Messaging, supporting data and encrypted asset sharing between subnets
ChainCatcher message, Avalanche developers have upgraded AvalancheGo (the blockchain software implementation in the Go programming language) to "Banff 5," introducing a communication protocol called Avalanche Warp Messaging for Avalanche-based blockchains (referred to as subnets). This feature will support subnets in sharing data and encrypted assets with each other, eliminating the need for individual subnet projects to deploy and manage their own bridges.
The Avalanche team stated that this mechanism also has the potential to introduce new use cases such as cross-chain staking of tokens. Any other subnet in the Avalanche ecosystem can validate the same message to initiate the local transfer of data or assets. (Source link)
