ChainCatcher news, according to Reuters citing sources, Canada’s largest pension fund CPP Investment (CPPI) has abandoned its pursuit of investments in the crypto market, ceasing to seek investment opportunities in the crypto market, and stated that it has not made direct investments in cryptocurrencies. Previously, CPPI established a three-person team in early 2021 to study cryptocurrency and blockchain-related businesses and take on potential risk exposure.

Earlier reports indicated that on August 18, the Canadian pension management company CDPQ had written down its $150 million investment in the bankrupt crypto lending platform Celsius Network; another Canadian pension fund, Teachers, also faced significant investment losses in the FTX incident.
