a16z promotes former CFTC commissioner Brian Quintenz to policy chief
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has promoted former U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) commissioner Brian Quintenz to the position of policy chief.
It is reported that after leaving the CFTC last year, Brian Quintenz has been serving as a consulting advisor in the crypto industry. He previously served as an advisor for Crypto.com and later joined the a16z Crypto advisory team to provide advice to a16z. Brian Quintenz stated, "Regulators need to provide better clarity for this space so that entrepreneurs, innovators, and technologists can follow clear rules, and right now, those rules are not clear."
