ChainCatcher news, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated on Twitter: "The chatbot ChatGPT was launched last Wednesday, and today it has surpassed 1 million users." Regarding whether ChatGPT will always be free, Sam Altman responded, "We will have to monetize it in some way at some point, the costs are too high."
