Binance hires accounting giant Mazars to verify its token reserves
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, Binance has appointed accounting giant Mazars to verify its token reserves. A Binance spokesperson confirmed in an email: "Mazars is reviewing all the information we have publicly shared about reserve proof so far and will verify future updates and tokens. The first verification update for BTC will be completed this week."
It is reported that Mazars is a global accounting firm headquartered in Paris, France, and its U.S. division, Mazars USA LLP, has worked for former U.S. President Trump's company. Previously, Binance released a Merkle tree proof of BTC asset reserves, which showed from the first batch of audit results that the current BTC on-chain reserve is 582,485.9302 BTC, the net user balance is 575,742.4228 BTC, and the reserve ratio is 101%.
