Forbes: Avraham Eisenberg increases Tether (USDT) short position to $173 million after setbacks in FTX acquisition
ChainCatcher news, according to Forbes, after the FTX-Binance trading crash, the mastermind behind the Mango exploit, Avraham Eisenberg, increased his short position on Tether (USDT) to $173 million, nearly three times his previous short position.
It is reported that Eisenberg used the Compound platform, with $20 million USDC as collateral, and borrowed $173 million worth of Tether. Avraham Eisenberg stated that he shorted Tether out of concern that it might lose its peg after the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. (Forbes)
