CloudWalk becomes the first cryptocurrency company in Brazil authorized by the central bank

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Brazilian fintech company CloudWalk has become the first cryptocurrency company authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil as a payment institution, allowed to offer credit cards to users and payment accounts to businesses. Additionally, the company will now be the first crypto company to directly connect to the Brazilian government payment system Pix, which has 126 million users.

Previously, CloudWalk launched a stablecoin pegged to the Brazilian real, BRCL, and raised $150 million in a Series C funding round, with a post-money valuation of $2.15 billion. (CoinDesk)
