ChainCatcher news, according to CNBC, Goldman Sachs will launch a data service called Datonomy, created in collaboration with global index provider MSCI and crypto data company Coin Metrics, aimed at classifying hundreds of digital currencies so that institutional investors can understand this new asset class. This new service can be accessed through a subscription or via Marquee (Goldman's digital store for institutional investors).

The three companies will categorize digital assets based on the way tokens are used, classifying them by category, industry, and sub-industry. Users can utilize the data sources to assist in analysis and research, as well as establish performance benchmarks, manage portfolios, or create investment products based on industries including DeFi, the metaverse, smart contract platforms, or value transfer tokens.
