ChainCatcher news, Sotheby's announced that it will auction another privately held first edition copy of the U.S. Constitution on December 13. Before the auction, this copy of the Constitution will be publicly displayed at Sotheby's York Avenue gallery from November 4 to 22, and will be exhibited again in New York from November 30 to December 12. This copy of the Constitution last appeared at an auction in Philadelphia in 1894, making this the first auction in 125 years, with an estimated value of $200,000 to $300,000.

It is reported that this copy is one of only 13 official prints made for the representatives of the Constitutional Convention and the Continental Congress, of which 11 are held by prominent institutions and governments, and another copy was auctioned last November. At that time, ConstitutionDAO raised over $40 million in Ethereum from 17,000 contributors to win the auction, and the copy was ultimately purchased by Kenneth Griffin, founder and CEO of Citadel, for $43.2 million.
