According to ChainCatcher, as reported by CoinDesk, in response to the global spread of ransomware, the White House recently convened 36 countries and the European Union for the second International Ransomware Initiative (CRI) summit. The CRI summit pledged to take joint measures to prevent ransomware attackers from using the cryptocurrency ecosystem to obtain payments, including sharing information about cryptocurrency wallets used for money laundering and developing and implementing anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing cryptocurrency standards.
