ZkSync is developing the Ethereum Layer 3 network "Opportunity"

ChainCatcher news, according to zkSync's development company Matter Labs, the team is developing an Ethereum Layer 3 network called Opportunity. Layer 3 is still in the initial development stage and aims to further enhance the scalability of the zkSync blockchain infrastructure.
It is reported that Opportunity is an additional off-chain computation layer on zkSync's Layer 2 mainnet, built on top of zkSync, designed to help reduce Ethereum's scalability and gas costs. The team expects to release its proof of concept in the first quarter of 2023.
Previously reported, the Ethereum Layer 2 network zkSync tweeted that due to a naming conflict with products developed by StarkWare, it will rename the Ethereum Layer 3 test network "Pathfinder" to "Opportunity." (source link)
