zkSync 2.0 mainnet officially enters the first phase, gradually opening access for ecosystem projects and users
ChainCatcher news, Matter Labs has released the first phase of the zkSync 2.0 mainnet, called Baby Alpha. During the first month of this phase, the network will operate without any external applications being open for use, and no external participants will be able to access it. The team explained that this initial phase is solely for stress testing and security work.
After the completion of the first phase, the next phase will be Fair Onboarding Alpha, where developers will be able to port to zkSync and start building on the network. Over 100 projects have expressed interest in deploying their applications on zkSync 2.0, including Uniswap. The Full Launch Alpha phase will be when the network is fully open to everyone, expected to occur by the end of this year.
Additionally, according to its roadmap, improvements to the developer and user experience are planned for Q1 2023 and beyond; decentralization of the zkSync 2.0 protocol is expected in 2023. (Source link)
