Vietnam's Prime Minister calls for government regulation of cryptocurrency
ChainCatcher news, according to VnExpress, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that, given the ongoing trading of crypto assets by Vietnamese residents, the Vietnamese government should study cryptocurrency regulation and include amendments for virtual currencies in the anti-money laundering bill. It is reported that the National Assembly of Vietnam will discuss the anti-money laundering bill on November 1 and may decide whether to approve the bill by the end of the meeting on November 15.
In addition, some local legislators in Vietnam are currently pushing for the adoption of crypto assets. In March, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai requested the Ministry of Finance to explore and amend laws aimed at establishing a cryptocurrency framework.
